DEFSEC Atlantic Creates a Space and Atmosphere for Connection in the Defence Industry

Atlantic Canada has advantages for business that we showcase to the world over three days in a modern, world-class facility, the Halifax Convention Centre. Our primary strength is fostering relationships in the supply chain for major Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) procurements. Businesses, CAF leadership, end users and the many government agencies that support the process, are all in attendance at DEFSEC Atlantic. It has become a critical destination for getting to know Canada and more specifically Atlantic Canada.

With participation from dozens of countries, DEFSEC Atlantic is an entry point for international cooperation in the Canadian defence ecosystem. Our “open door” policy has no requirements for membership, or restrictions that slow down your desire to find partnerships for your role in the industry. Key Prime procurement contract winners attend to fill their supply chain with reliable partners. Federal and provincial agencies/departments attend to act as the connectors and facilitators of these relationships. “Ships Start Here” but that’s not all, by any means. We create connections to land, sea, and air projects along with complimentary focus on areas like cyber security and artificial intelligence that cross all domains.

We are addressing the common challenge of talent development and acquisition with programs that bring both graduating secondary AND post-secondary students to the event. One of the many strengths of our region is that it has several institutions that can educate and provide the industry’s current and future work forces. Our Academic Day of Connection and Academic Showcase are steering the next generations towards you, as we shine a light on employment opportunities in the sector, as well as the educational paths they need to follow to get there.

From our “early days” in RCAF hangars, hockey rinks and waterfront warehouses, the DEFSEC Atlantic team has constantly maintained a commitment to building multiple networking opportunities for you.

Our sister event, Air Show Atlantic, expands this focus and effort as we honour and celebrate our origins as an air show and showcase our connection to the equipment the RCAF is operating and acquiring. With a large concentration of Canadian Armed Forces units in our Region, we have the end users and the talent that support the long-standing military community in Atlantic Canada and the industry here has the ability to fulfill their associated procurement needs.

Whether you are an exhibitor or not, all attendees can register for our excellent facilitated B2B Meetings Program. For a full month before the Show, only Registered Attendees will be able to see who are all actively participating and reach out to make contact with those people, and can feasibly arrive with a full slate of meetings already scheduled to take place in our B2B Zone, and even be able to follow-up with them using the same system for nearly a month after the Show.

There are also some Private Meeting Rooms remaining for rent both or just one day, allowing you to host and setup a series of meetings or even setup a product display to bring attendees to see in a quieter environment.
